Sara grew up near Seattle, Washington where she received her bachelors at the University of Washington in Sociology and moved to Colorado where she completed her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Regis University. Sara is proud to have served in the mental health field since 2010.
Joining the Luna Counseling team in 2014 has provided Sara with the opportunity to serve in the areas she is most passionate about.
Sara’s life experiences have fueled her passion to work in reproductive mental wellness. Sara has a comprehensive understanding of grief and loss and is trained and certified with PSI (Postpartum Support International) to provide assessment and treatment of perinatal mood disorders. Sara has supported clients through various issues such as infertility, pregnancy and early infant loss, birth trauma, postpartum and preparing for pregnancy after loss.
Knowing that clients come in for counseling for an array of reasons, Sara assures you that she will support you in and through your personal goals. She brings hope when hope feels lost. Sara enjoys empowering her clients through education and in acknowledging the whole person to promote healing.
Sara’s treatment style is welcoming, empathetic, nurturing and direct. She enjoys collaborating with her clients to personalize treatment plans to mirror the unique needs of her clients to ensure their best self. Sara works with individuals, couples and groups.
